L'éditeur de ODF plaide pour une co-évolution de ODF et d' Open XML
Patrick Durusau, l’éditeur du projet ISO pour ODF encore connu comme ISO/IEC 26300 plaide dans une nouvelle lettre ouverte pour une co-évolution des deux standards Open XML et ODF.
"If we had a co-evolutionary environment, one where the proponents of OpenXML and OpenDocument, their respective organizations, national bodies and others interested groups could meet to discuss the future of those proposals, the future revisions of both would likely be quite different," a écrit Durusau.
"Peaceful co-evolution will mean better standards at lower costs in a more timely fashion," précise t-il.
"Why am I advocating such cooperation? The answer is fairly simple. The difficulties we face today are the result of not talking to each other in the past and we can't change the past. But we can decide to act differently today," rajoute t-il.
Cette coopération pourrait elle commencer par une participation du groupe de travail ODF d' OASIS aux travaux du DIN sur l’interopérabilité entre les deux formats comme le suggère ce mail ?
